We provided Technical Authoring Services to update the User Manual for the client's Messaging Software suite. The update was necessary to document the enhanced functionality provided by the latest version.

creating and maintaining n-tier architecture infrastructure technical documentation and diagrams for a variety of new and existing systems, to required standards, for multiple services concurrently
liaising with other technical areas to ensure produced documentation met their requirements and reviewing other documents to ensure information is sufficient to meet client needs
setting up Word document standards, styles and formats, conforming to HMCE standards
Provided Technical Authoring and Project Management Services to a project which was converting and editing 3G, GSM, and UMTS network switch manuals from Word to XML.
This involved:
managing up to six product/technology streams concurrently
co-ordination of Technical Publication staff (authors, editors, illustrators
training the supplier’s authors in China
making visits to India to initiate the project and to brief the outsourced project staff
